Deepavali :D

Oh yes, its that time of year again.
I would like to wish Happy Diwali to all the Indians and everyone else celebrating :)
Too bad our government only gave us a day holiday :/

Anyways, my dad woke me up at 6 in the morning today.
He said its good luck to wake up early on Deepavali morning or something like that.
After that, the whole family went to Lok Kawi temple for the special prayers there.
I know, its quite distance from Kingfisher,
but nothing I can do cause my dad prefers the priest there instead of the Bukit Padang temple.

Took out Locks' D300s to take few shots.
I didn't take much. So here's a couple of shots i took in the temple :)

Friendship

Ahhh, its been a while since I wrote :/
Was just too busy with exams and stuffs, well you know, a student's life.
Anyways, the point is, I'm here now, writing about my next post :)

I feel fortunate and blessed to have a friend that would help you when in need.
There's this small family gathering happening over the weekend.
I'm suppose to do a cover of it,
but with this broken camera lens of mine, I don't think I can do it :(
I didn't know what to do, til I went to a very good friend of mine, Locksley.
He was so kind, to lend me his D300s.

Thanks Locks, appreciate it :)
I decided to take a couple of test shots with the D300s to get a little feel of it.

Its not much, but yeah :D

Sandraaa :)

I don't normally take 'model shots' of people.
Its because I'm not very good at it HAHA.
Anyways, just decided to take few shots of my good friend, Sandra :)
It was during the After Party for the Prefects' Night.
She wanted me to take pictures of her with the backdrop of the event is the background.
So, I was like, Okay! Maybe this will help me improve my shots.

Before the pictures, let's talk about the model herself.
Name's Sandra Ann Jerry.
16 this year, My classmate.
She's the type of person who just loves being in the outdoors and get closer to nature.
She likes pretty things.
She's funny :)
There's so much more, but it'll take me hours if I were to desribe her from top to bottom, inside & out. So Sandra, sorry :)

Prefects Night' 2011 :: Official :DD

This is it guys!
The main event :D
Our very own Prefects Night for 2011 :)
After a month of planning, it all comes to this.
As you guys may have read or seen in my previous post, the rehearsals had been done.
So everyone was very well-prepared for each of their duties for the night :)

The theme this year was Divas & Devos.
I must say, that all the prefects who came were very well-dressed :)

Let me just start off by introducing some of the behind-the-scenes people.
This is the Usher team :)

The main man himself, Rezza :)

Elfineigo & Redzuan(One of the MCs' for the night)

Aldric(who is also the MC) & Sandra

Rachelle, from the performance team

Soo then, the guests started arriving.
Everyone was doing their job perfectly by escorting the Outgoing Prefects to one side, and the Continuing Prefects to another.
Here's some of the prefects :)

The event's VIP started arriving.
In other words, our teachers started coming in.
Here's Teacher Elicia :)

Even Teacher Cynthia, Pn Yue, Pn Flora & Pn Laini were there already :)

We had to keep them in a special room, so that it stays as a surprise :D
Next, was the entrance of the Outgoing Prefects, Teachers, The Ex-Heads & Present-Heads into the ballroom :)

That was done. Everyone went their seats, and came out our MCs for the night :)
Aldric, Dianne, Eloise & Redzuan

They then asked the Ex-Prefect Head to give a short speech, and soon Rezza, Present Head to do the same :)

During all of this, teachers & prefects were told to have their dinner.
Prefects were having a buffet style meal, while teachers were served :)
Here's a glimpse of what we were having.

While everyone was busy eating, I was walking around the ballroom taking pictures of everyone :)

After that was the Photo Session, where group photos with the teachers were taken :)

After that, the games started :)
People in-charge of it were Sarah & Chia.
They planned out many interactive games for the prefects to play and for the teachers to enjoy or even join in :D

So I'm just gonna sum it up all here. Since its getting too long ;)

Apart from the gift presentation, there was also the Diva & Devo contest. :)
Bernice & Nick Yap was the Diva & Devo of the night. Congrats to them :D

Well, thats pretty much everthing that happened at the Prefects' Night 2011.
It truly is gonna be an event that none of the prefects will ever forget :)
